App-Controlled

Four products here can be driven from a phone app over Bluetooth, which adds pattern control and lets a partner take over from across the room or, when both phones are online, from anywhere. Three of them pair with the Love Spouse app named in their makers' instructions; the vibrating ring's maker shows an app but does not name it. Every one of them also works from a button on the unit without a phone.

Read the app-controlled guide before pairing. It explains the difference between an app and a handheld remote, what Bluetooth range really means, and what a published report found: nearby Bluetooth devices have been shown to start or stop toys that use the Love Spouse app. We make no privacy or security statement about any app beyond that report, and the app's own terms apply. If the product itself is the point rather than the distance control, the button sidesteps the question entirely.
